The continent of Europe has gone through many historical changes in the last 100 years – politically, economically, socially and culturally. From the first World War, the huge changes during the Russian Revolution, second World War, the holocaust, the start of cold war, the signing of Rome Treaty, policies of glasnost and perestroika, demise of Soviet Union, the fall of Berlin wall, the establishment of European Union, and the break up of Yugoslavia are some of the important mile stones, one can mention.
